Own Your Own Piece of an Upscale RV Park!

yepLike most RVers, I enjoy RV parks in forested areas. However, I don’t like being so close to my neighbors that I can’t put my awning out - I need my space! Lost Lake Resort offers plenty of space and is surrounded by lots of trees. My wife, Marilyn, says it reminds her of camping in the forest when she was a kid. Lost Lake Resort is a secluded resort just south of Tacoma, Washington off of I-5 near the Fort Lewis Army Base. This RV community is different because you purchase your own lot and develop it however you want (within the covenants of the association of course). Lots start around $29,000 and the association fees are $750 a year. It’s a gated community with great amenities as you’ll see in the video.

yep This is an upscale RV community and your RV must be 15 years old or newer in order to keep it here. Also, to prevent this from becoming a trashy park and to protect your investment, you can only live here a maximum of six months out of each year. That’s not a problem for “snowbirds” as they will move to their park model in Arizona or Florida during winter and then come back here for the spring and summer.

yepThere are also some nice park models available and though many of the existing lots have already been developed and sold, they are continuing to develop a few new lot sites.
yep About the lake, it isn’t really lost, in fact it’s an 11 acre spring-fed lake stocked with rainbow trout. Check out this video for a more detailed look at this style of living.

Lost Lake Resort Offers

140 New Campsites and Affordable Log Cabins

Olympia, Washington (March 20, 2006) – Families in the Northwest have a new option for fun weekends and summer vacations.  Lost Lake RV Resort now has 275 sites for sale that can be used as a base for an RV or a cabin at an affordable price.  It is a new camping concept that is becoming more popular throughout the West.  At Lost Lake for example, families can own a site at the camping resort.  They can keep an RV stored on the site or they can purchase a site and cabin for less than $100,000 and have access to the lake and all of the resort amenities including the swimming pool, fitness center and more.

“We love it,” said cabin owner Bob Anderson,  “It has given us a vacation home in a resort setting. We love our site and our cabin. The fishing is great, Lost Lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout. Even though it is only about 5 minutes from Olympia, we just really enjoy being nestled in the trees. We feel like we are so far away from the city.”  Resort owner Jeff Graham adds, “The people who buy sites here for an RV or a cabin end up being very popular with family and friends, they have a lot of company coming to visit. People roast marshmallows after dinner by the campfire. People love it here. On hot days during summer, this is the place to go jump in a lake!”

Graham works with 2 cabin makers to offer the cabins to site buyers. They have special wood exteriors to compliment the resort’s park-like designs.  The new park model cabins come from two manufacturers, Cavco out of Arizona and Nor’wester based in Chehalis.  They are classified as an RV and can be moved.  Prices start at  $29,000 and go up to $82,000.  Price ranges on the resort sites begin at $35,000 and go up to $69,000 and most are at least 3,000 square feet with a natural green belt between the lots. The cabins are not intended for primary residence. The resort allows occupancy for up to 185 days per year.

The resort amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center, pickle ball courts, mini golf, and a lake facility with a dock.   Lost Lake features an 11-acre lake which is stocked with Rainbow Trout and graced by the presence of Bald Eagles.
